Stuck

I was way out of town, north of the city, pulled over on the side of a grid road. I had gone out looking for dark skies to watch the stars and clear my head. By the time I was cold and tired enough to leave, it was incredibly late. I got back in the car, started it up, and then, as I pushed the gas pedal, there was the noise of mud splattering, wheels spinning, and no movement. Apparently, the spot I pulled over was far more damp than I expected. Panic set in, who would I even call at that time and how would I even direct them to find me? Then I decided to treat it like an icy road in winter. I put the car in second for less torque and was very gentle with the gas and fortunately, the wheels caught and I was off on my way home.
