Leak

On a trip once, I was in my hotel room shortly after arriving and just after using the bathroom, I could hear a continuing dripping noise coming from the toilet. It was more than an occasional drop but not a torrent. The sound of wiggle the handle (not the sound of wiggling the handle though, that's different.) So, that's what I tried. That did nothing. I then tried flushing again and there had the same result. At that point, I probably should have talked to the front desk and had their maintenance guy come and take a look. Instead, I pulled the lid off the tank to see what was going on. Everything seemed in order except that the tank was over filling and so there was a trickle of water that would run down the overflow tube. Having seen my dad play with these things enough, I just dug out my swiss army knife and played with the adjustment screws on the float. First the wrong way causing it to fill even more and then fixing it properly. A good thing too because I don't think I could sleep with the noise of the leaky toilet.
