I was waiting for a train at a subway station in New York and a small furry creature was sniffing around on the tracks. My first thought was, "Oh look at that cute little mouse" but that was followed by "Wait, that's too big to be a mouse". By the time I even thought to take a picture, the first rat I'd ever seen had scurried away into the darkness. I later saw others in Central Park and one scoping out a garbage pile, but I've never managed to get a picture. Instead, this is a mouse that I managed to snap a photo of near the Conexus Arts Centre back in 2019, but I only know that from the photo information in the image so I don't have a story to go with it.
