That's my last view of Regina until December. Since I'll be away, other people need to go and do all the things for me. If you are not sure what to do, here are a few highlights:
On November 21, Kacy & Clayton are playing at the Artesian. After the show, have a chat with Kacy for me and find out if her nails are sparkly.
There are five things I'd go to on the 23rd: The Christmas Tree lighting is happening in downtown Regina, the Nutcracker is at the Conexus Arts Centre, The Once are playing at the Artesian, William Prince is playing at the Exchange, and Kara Golemba is playing at the Capitol. I'd probably start with the tree lighting, then go to see The Once, and if it wasn't too late at that point, I might go to the Capitol.
On November 25, Dosi Donuts is back at the Regina Farmers' Market, so go and eat a doughnut for me (I'd recommend the sea buckthorn berry or the salted caramel) but you'll need to be early or they'll be sold out. Buy some bread or pastries from Saltine while you are there. In the afternoon, go by the German Club for their Cristkindl Markt and see if you can spot my parents. If you do, give my mom a hug for me. After that, you can go to the symphony and catch Dvorak's New World Symphony with Tanya Tagaq.
I'll be back on December 2, so if you want to chat about my trip, you can pop by the Farmers' market that morning. I should be there either at the front door or at the information booth (or maybe just shopping).
If getting out of the house on a Saturday morning is too hard, come to the first ever Regina Farmers' Market Holiday Night Market. It's from 5 to 9pm on Thursday, December 7 and will feature music by Belle Plaine.
I'll also be going to the Bears Nash Holiday Bash at the Artesian on December 9. This was a blast last year and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do this year.
