Endings

Today is my last day in Boracay and second last day in the Philippines. Tomorrow I fly back to Manila, spend a day there before flying back to Regina. As a result of time zones and the date line, I leave Manila at noon on April 12 and arrive in Regina at 10:20 pm on April 12, but that eight and a half hours is really more like 24 hours in the air/airports. (Still better than the 33 or so hours it took to get here.)

I didn't really do a whole lot today. Ate breakfast, walked around a bit, finished off one of the two books I brought, and went with the bride and groom and their two remaining family members to City Mall which is much more of an actual mall than D'Mall, but is quite small. The most interesting part of the mall might have been the prominent self-defence baseball bat display at the Ace Hardware. We ate fried chicken from Jollibee and then headed back to the resort because the happy couple had one more meeting with their wedding planner. Weddings are apparently a lot of work.

After their meeting was over, everyone who was left, met at the couple's villa and played games and talked until later than we should have considering we all had to pack.

One last breakfast for me then some final packing and then off to Manila.
