Draw
At some point, I bought a couple of Moleskine note books. One was pocket sized and was incredibly handy when travelling especially before there were good data roaming options while in the US. The other was larger and purchased with the intent of drawing things. I probably bought it shortly after reading a Roger Ebert blog posting about drawing.
For years, it sat unused in my desk drawer. Sometimes, I thought about it and I even dragged it along on a couple of trips, but actually doing anything with it seemed impossible, but somehow tonight I did this:
I may yet throw some color on it, but I'm reasonably pleased with it.
If you are wondering about the picture, I was at Malt City for Regina Restaurant Week before going to the Globe Theatre to see Root, Hog, or Die, and on the bar by the cash register there's an old meat grinder with some sort of succulent growing in it. Weird little decorations like that always intrigue me so I took a photo and then drew it when I got home.
Now I just have about 100 more pages to fill.
