Patio Planning

I was sitting on my deck with my dad a while back. The deck is old and needs replacing. It's basically at ground level anyway, so I want to replace it with just a patio. My dad starts asking how I want it arranged and then suggesting that it should go as far from the house as the current deck and all the way to the neighbour's fence.

"I don't want a giant concrete rectangle."

"It wouldn't be, but you need room for the shed."

"Shed? What do I need a shed for?"

"To store all the summer stuff."

"I've got lots of space in the garage, why would I want a shed?"

"Well, what if you have a second car?"
