Half done

I have a few blog posts hanging around not getting finished. One I might finish in a couple of weeks when the events it surrounds are done, another I forgot about and should probably revisit, and the most recent one I was writing stopped feeling relevant as I was trying to finish it. So, in the meantime, here are some quick thoughts.

A while back, a friend told me "You're a good catch". She was trying to be helpful and I may not have wrinkled my nose right then, but that phrase bothers me. Maybe something that doesn't imply that relationships are a trap would be better.

Winterruption was fun and I really enjoyed Dehli 2 Dublin, but I could have done without the DJ that they had on first. I just don't understand the appeal of DJs - maybe I'm just old.

The Laila Biali concert was the second best concert I saw this month. (The Thursday at Winterruption just squeaks past.) She'd fit in perfectly at a Jazz club in New York.

It's restaurant week in downtown Regina. I'm less excited by it than in previous years, but I'll go to at least a few of them. (Restaurant week is actually two weeks long, so plenty of time to get out and eat.)

I stayed home last Saturday night. It was delightful, but I don't want to make a habit of it. There do seem to be fewer things on my schedule on Saturday nights right now. Perhaps I'm seeing the effect of the Artful Dodger closing.

Cookie Lady doughnut pop-ups are happening soon!

I should probably get to sleep...
